SIP trunks that do not require registration

I remember something about a bug for trunks that do not require registration. Does anyone know what post that was?

I remember seeing something about that. I'm currently using a sip provider in this manner. Because the sip trunk is delivered on a dedicated private line, I was able to enable anonymous inbound calls. I also had a problem under FreePBX with safe_asterisk and the use of trunk variables in the dialplan instead of the literal string. Hope this helps.
