agc MySQL connect ERROR

My Agents are experiencing a continuous but randomized MySQL connect ERROR
Can't connect to localhost MySQL server through socket.
Can any one tell me what or where to look the cause of this so to fix it... I'm loosing credibility because of this.

Multi/Single server?

Its a Single server
HP Proliant ML150 G5, 4 GB RAM, 2 CUad Core Processors, 3 SATA HD( 1 for /, 1 for /var/mysql/, 1 for /var/log)
with Linux 2.6.27.12-170.2.5.fc10.x86_64
running Mysql 5.0.67
Im using asterisk 1.2.31.1
libpri 1.2.8
zaptel 1.2.27
astguiclient 2.0.5b0.5
I have multiple outbound campaigns with 27 agents
(Zap channel 1)
By now just one Closer campaign with 5 agents
(Zap channel 2)
15 Administrative Sip Phones
(Zap channel 3)

Compare /etc/mysql/my.cnf with this one:

Pay attention to :
skip-external-locking
skip-name-resolve
