API Help

Postby benomg » Mon Nov 16, 2009 2:18 am

I had a good dig around but didn't turn up anything regarding how the external_dial api function calls are processed once in vicidial_live_agent table. So what I'm trying to find out is if the "vendor_id" is meant to be the vendor_lead_code of the manual dial lead and if "search" is meant search for existing leads based on vendor_lead_code. Is there a run down of what each vars is for anywhere? Is someone able to please help me with these 2 and maybe give me any general api tips like some other vars that are good to use?
Cheers,
Ben

Yes, vendor_id is vendor_lead_code, and search will search the primary phone number in the system only.

Thanks for the info Matt. These don't seem to be working for me. The vars are definitely getting picked up and updated to vicidial_live_agent. But nothing seems to happen after that. I can make calls from the specified agent, but the search, vendor_id (doesn't go to the manual dial lead), and preview don't seem to do anything. Should I just go on and give the super api, that is external dial lead a go?

Btw, what is focus for?

Cheers,
Ben

OK got it. Tracked the process from start to finish to realise that "YES" needs to be caps. "yes" seemed to break the vendor_id.

Focus pops a window alerting agent of the api call which when clicked, brings the agent interface into focus.
