How to reset a list?

Hello,
I have searched this forum and also the internet but I am unable to find an answer. I am using vicidial version 2.0.5. I am unable to reset a list. It looks like this function is broken. The same was working in 1.1.x versions.
Please shade some lights.

please post your entire setup, installation method, vicidial version WITH build (from your php screens, it's on most of the managers screens at the bottom). Also include whether there is any OTHER software running on the box.

And of course, I presume you've downloaded and read the Manager's manual for 2.0.5 before posting (not just because it's a requirement, but because 2.0.5 has cool stuff in it!).

And all the stickies for this forum, also required before posting in this forum. Right?

that being said:

If by "reset a list" you mean change all the "called" status's to "not called" so you can call them again, that would be "Reset Lead-Called-Status for this list" which is a "Y/N" entry for each list (ADMIN->LISTS->choose your list). Change it to "Y" and submit to reset the list.

First of all thanks for your quick reply.

But I believe my post has enough information to understand the issue. I mentioned the version I have installed. (I don't think reset list functionality should be affected by any other softwares running in that box.. for example, sendmail, vsftpd servers). I read your reply in the other post asking the same question but you have asked the poster to post screenshot and all which is not necessary if you know the answer to the question.

Please explain to me - If I say "reset list" mean what are the possibilities it can refer to in vicidial 2.0.5??? I think it only refers to the resetting the called status of the list and re-use the list again. (which means call all the numbers again). "List recycling" means (if this is turned on), you can use the same list without resetting the call status but it only call the numbers which are "Not Called" or have status "Not Answered" (NA). I hope i put this in right way.

Your last para says, "Reset Lead-Called_Status" and set to Y/N -> If I set this to "Y", I do see the status reset (which means called user count become zero and not called users become the length of the list). But the hopper will not dial the list which is supposed to do so. I tried resetting the hopper, etc but no use. I hope this answers your question.

Wow.

The list is reset (ask and ye shall receive!).

Now it would appear that you have reset your list and the dialer will not dial the reset list (You may have overlooked mentioning that in your first post with all the information in it.)

So, for our other possibilities:

Make sure your list is
1) Active
2) In a campaign

Make sure your campaign has dial status's listed that coincide with the dial status's in your newly reset list. Make sure you do not have a filter set that causes these numbers to be unavailable to the campaign. Make sure your campaign does not have any calling times set that would make these leads unavailable (for testing, remove the filters and set calling times to 24 hours).

That being said, YES installing other software CAN break functionality in Vicidial. I have watched a 3 page long post turn out to be a Trixbox install that was NEVER going to work. Also, a scratch install on an OS that is not supported can cause all sorts of issues (unpredictable, and unusual, and apparently simple at first).

So PLEASE post your entire setup, put it in your signature so you don't have to debate it with anyone. And try to be specific to what your problem is and use the actual text from the screens you are looking at.

Ok. here is what I tried.

I created a lits and added to campaign. Everything worked fine for and full list has been called.

Now I reset the status of list ( :D ) which is still under same campaign. I reset the hopper. Campaign time set to 24 hours dialing. No Filters. Now I expect the list to get dialed but its not. I have to import the list again with different name and assign to the campaign to make it working.

Please give it a try and let me know thats a bug or i am missing something here.

I don't have trixbox.. its pure vicidial 2.0.5 install which works perfectly fine with all the features except this list reset issue.

when you dial them the first time, they are all "new".

now NONE are "new".

so they all have some Other Dial Status than new. do you have your campaign set to dial another dial status? or just new? and have you verified that the dial status being dialed actually has some leads in the list you are dialing (something like busy or NA or ...?)

Got it. I think the campaign has only dial status set to "NEW" and thats probably the reason why the list was not dialed again. I will add other statuses and give it a try. Thanks for the big TIP though.

I don't think its mentioned anywhere in the manual or in the forum. Because I have seen lot of users asking about this. If this works, then you may want to make it as sticky.
