Can not dial manually on Vicidial

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, as with vicidialnow too. I tried to look after an answer to my question before asking but no luck!

I installed from scratch :
Vicidialnow 1.2
Asterisk v1.2.30.2
admin.php 2.0.5-173
BUILD 90320-0424

I used the config of my provider for etc/asterisk/sip-vicidial.conf

When I try to dial manually the Xlite client says "the person you are calling is unavailable, please try again". and this is whether I'm logged to the agent's interface or not.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Instead of getting the call from vici you want to actually dial a number from your xlite sip client? If so, just make sure you use the proper format for the number, lets say your dialplan says you must enter 9 in front of the number, then do that directly on xlite. It should work.

Agents and phones, while you do cross-reference them, are fairly separate. Being logged in to the agent interface will make no difference to the functionality of the softphone (unless you only have 1 line on the softphone, which you don't). I suggest going through the managers manual once if you haven't already just to get a good overview. http://www.eflo.net/store.php#MANAGER

Speaking of which, follow tutorial L in the manual to check your trunk is setup right. You can use details from your supplier for account entry when you do this. My suggestion for the dial plan entry would be to put "_X" in place of "_91NXXNXXXXXX" for now while you try to get the calls working. Just go back to that later if you want to direct different calls to different service providers.

hi,
Thanks for your time :) appreciated.

@ticoit : actually when i dial directly from my softphone says using "userid" "userpass" it's ok. but when I use "c100"/"test" (as in the tutorials) i get the msg "...try again".

@benomg : I read the manager's manual. I have my provider correctly registered. and I changed the dial plan (based on some answers n the foruml) to have the correct dial numbers :

exten => _8X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _8X.,2,Dial(sip/${EXTEN:1}@TRUNK,,To)
exten => _8X.,3,Hangup

regards.
