hello all ,

we have installed vicidial now but we have no experience how to make it work

we need remote support for :

complete the installation and setup iax2 or sip for outbound calls
make the system use a remote mysql database server

you do NOT want to use a 'REMOTE' mysql server for vicidial. your system will be unstable. using "another" mysql server on the same subnet is cool. but REMOTE indicates you may want to use one that is geographically remote. NOT a good idea. (unless you intend only to test with one agent ... but still, Why?)

Also: if you JUST installed vicidialnow ... stop what you are doing and REINSTALL with a later version. (you just installed windows 95 when windows 7 is available? that sort of thing).

Either install GoAutoDial (if you must have CentOS or the pretty agent screen)

Or install Vicibox Redux 3.1.9 (if you want to use the latest version which is the 2.4 developer's trunk, quite stable, and supported by The Vicidial Group, and my personal favorite even though I'm not in "The Group" )

Ha, I agree. I have been going over seas myself if I am swamped but the problem is reliability is never there. The times they say they will be available are never followed and they usually disappear. They are scared of money...
