ViciBox on Dell T5500--

Hi

Would like to hear from people using Vicibox on Dell T5500 workstations, interms of performance, installation challenges, cpu util .
Will it hold 45 agent logins with 1:2 dialing ratio.

Agents is not how vicidial capacity is measured. Live calls, recording (which is actually another call to asterisk), transcoding (g729 especially) plus web usage (remote agents use no web, managers running reports like the real-time screen use lots of web) ... these are factors. But the number of agents per workstation is just a vague reference that can get you into trouble.

Next: Any dell server can be configured and provisioned in any one of many ways. Processor core count and speed, memory amount and speed ... these all make a difference and honestly this is much more relevant than the word "dell" and the model number on the front of the case.

Just sayin'.

T5500 is 2X dual Quad core , 8 GB ram , 1TB sata HDD. Brand name is remembered easier than configuration .

Am trying my luck to get info from people who used vici on T5500 server .

My point was that YOUR T5500 may be configured that way, but someone else's could be completely different. In fact, the odds are kinda low that anyone who answers will have precisely the same system as yours, at the very least the CPU choice is likely to differ.

Plus I note that you left off the speeds of your CPU/Memory/HD. While it is likely that memory speed is the same based on year purchased, the CPU speed is a selectable option at buildout. It's also somewhat related to system capacity. 2.2Ghz vs 3.3 Ghz can make at least a slight difference. LOL

The average car holds 5 people with seatbelts. There is no "average" CPU even for a specific brand and model number of Dell as they can pretty much all have any one of a dozen processors installed.
