Hello All,

Is upgrading from Suse 12.1 to 12.3 a feasible thing to do on an existing Vicibox install? I would like to monitor some Vici boxes running Opensuse 12.1 but I could only find an agent for Opensuse 12.3 in the repositories.
I have set up a Zabbix agent (ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/cabelo:/zabbix/openSUSE_12.3/x86_64/zabbix-agent-2.0.7-3.1.x86_64.rpm) to run on an Opensuse 12.3 installation and this is working great for the dialler running Suse 12.3

Thanks in advance.

Safe method: create a new machine and move the vicidial db into it.
Fun method: upgrade and then recompile dahdi/libpri/asterisk after the upgrade.

How about downloading the Zabbix agent source and compiling it yourself? It's really not that hard to do.

Sounds like fun actually, the only challenge will likely be that there will be "adjustments" needed to work on that OS. Which is probably where there isn't one already. But certainly worth a try.
