Highest Amount of active calls?

Hi,

I know that there are several factors determining the total or around the total amount of active calls that can be placed simultaniously. I am running the following in All voip and have unlimited channel availability from my sip provider. With 100 meg bandwidth from the server. Very, very limited recording.

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3360 @ 2.83GHz
2 Gg ram

Running VERSION: 2.0.4-121 BUILD: 80424-0442

According to the above configuration what would be the max active channels I should be able to set our dialer to handle?

In the server section I have it set to 500 to run my testing. Are there any limitations built into this version of Vici that would limit the number of outbound calls the system could handle.

There are only theoretical limits built into VICIDIAL, not hard limits, although 500 is probably too many channels, expecially if you dont raise your open file limits in Linux before starting Asterisk.
