do you want to convert that pbx exchahge to goautodial (or)
u need to connect to tthe pbx exchage to the goautodial
striker wrote:just enter your pbx details here
what kind of pbx exchang u r using
is it software based or hardware based like epabx
striker wrote:i not sure what model it
i hope it is old epabx model
u need a server to install the goautodial.
for connectiong normal analog line u need fxo cards or fxo gateways.
u can also connect your existing epabx to your goautodial or ippbx using the fxo channels.
and use either softphone or sip ipphone to use as extension using the goautodial
striker wrote:just confirm me the make model of the pbx exchange you are using
williamconley wrote:does this pbx run in a windows or linux based computer? If not ... it is a PBX and cannot be converted to a linux/asterisk based telephone server.
Vicidial runs on Linux. Linux is an operating system. This operating system requires a standard CPU/motherboard.
IF this old PBX system is in a computer, do you have the CPU type and/or motherboard information?
Does it have a keyboard/screen/mouse? Can you "log in" to it? Does it have a CD/DVD drive or USB port?

striker wrote:step 1 => install goautodial /vicibox in a server
step 2 -> purchase a fxo gateway or fxo card ( 2 to 8 port is available in market withfxo and fxs combination)
step3 => configure the fxo card in the goautodial
step4 => connect the 2 telephone lines to the 2 ports of fxo port in fxo card or gateway
step 5 => connect another two ports of fxo card to the epabx fxs ports
now accrding to ur epabx extensions u need to create a dialplan in goautodial
so that all now u can make calls to pstn as well to epabx extensions vice versa

have you configured the atcom card in goautdial , same like as you did in elastix.
i never handled the cards other than digium and sangoma cards.
so not sure how to configure the atcom cards.
so you follow the same method u did in elastix , in goautodial
and let me know .
or purchase a digium card or sangoma 4port FXS/FXO card.
striker wrote:1. go to vi /etc/asterisk/extension.conf
edit TRUNKX=zap/r1 to TRUNKX=DAHDI/g0 in global context
make sure what group u have u give to ur channel in chan_dahdi,conf
2. in default context add the following ( extension.conf)
exten => _888XXXXXX.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _888XXXXXX.,2,Dial(${TRUNKX}/${EXTEN:3},,tTor)
exten => _888XXXXXX.,3,Hangup
were 888 is the prefix while dialling and it will be descarded while dialling
3. now to go to ur admin=> campaign=> autodial prefix to 888
log in as agent and make a manual dial
(or)
register a softphone and dial a local no with 888 as prefix
4. For incomming ( i hope u wont get caller id for incomming )
go to vi /etc/asterisk/extension.conf
under trunkinbound context
exten => s,1,AGI(agi-DID_route.agi)
finally go to asterisk cli asterisk -vvvvvr
and type reload
now check the incomming and outgoing

even i dont understand why in goautodial this chan_dahdi.conf is not generating automatically
every time i need to manually create it and enter the details
you do this as you told u have already configured this card sucessfully in elastix
so copy the chan_dahdi.conf file from that sytem and copy it in goautodial
/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf
and in the last line of chan_dahdi.conf type this #include dahdi-channels.conf
once done type the following commands
dahdi_cfg -vvvvvvv ; post the result here if any error or no channesl shows
then go to asterisk cli
type module unload chan_dahdi.so
type module load chan_dahdi.so ; see the screen is there any error
then type dahdi show status
dahdi show channels
atlast post your feedback here
striker wrote:for voice issue u need to check wether you headphone is configured properly and in good working condition
for that disconnect
go to chan_dahdi.conf
enter this busydetect=yes
and reload the chan_dahdi.so and also asterisk
striker wrote:paste the content of the chan_dahdi.conf , dahdi-channels.conf , etc/dahdi/system.conf
dont paste that in this forum use the pastebin (http://pastebin.com/)
and post the link here
striker wrote:seems all are fine
only these two lines have u removed the " ; " before these lines and reload the dahdi drivers. in cli module reload chan_dahdi.so
;busydetect=yes
;busycount=3
