First VICIDIAL Training Course Announced

We will be holding the first ever VICIDIAL Training Courses December 3-7 in the Tampa, Florida area.

I just anted to post a notice of this here, we do not have specific prices or schedules at this point, but it is coming and more details will be posted to this thread in the next two weeks.

Here's a summary of the 3 sections of the conference:

VICIDIAL Training:
- Half Day 1 - EXECUTIVE INTRODUCTION TO VICIDIAL
- What is VICIDIAL?
- Non-technical overview of the other Open-Source projects that make VICIDIAL possible: Asterisk/MySQL/PHP/Apache/Perl/etc...
- what is Open Source Software?
- What is the GPL License?
- Demos of the agent/manager interfaces
- Case studies of VICIDIAL installations
- The 100% open source call center cost analysis
- Paying for services rather then licenses
Recommended experience: None

- Days 2 and 3 - VICIDIAL ROOM MANAGER TRAINING
- in-depth explanation of the Agent interface
- in-depth explanation of the Manager interface(going over every field)
- Tutorial of setting up several different types of campaigns
- Creation of Agent scripts
- More advanced lead targeting: lead filters and list mixing
- Troubleshooting, What to do in different situations(high drop rate, low contact rate, etc...)
Recommended experience: basic computer skills, basic understanding of call centers

- Days 4 and 5 - VICIDIAL INSTALLER/ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING
- Asterisk CLI overview
- Setting up and managing asterisk conf files
- AGI programming
- Setting up IVRs
- Asterisk Manager interface and differences between 1.2 and 1.4
- Integration of VICIDIAL with CRM systems
- Managing call recording in VICIDIAL
- Setting up a multi-server VICIDIAL system
- Server hardware setup recommendations
- Agent phone options
- Telco trunking options
- Using VICIDIAL on a separate server from where your agent phones are.
- Integrating ViciDial with Legacy Dialers and PBX systems
Recommended experience: Some Linux experience, previous Asterisk experience extremely helpful

As for pricing, it will be on-par with the Asterisk and Trixbox training courses that are out there:

All prices are per person, enrollment is transferrable within companies.

Days 4 and 5 only ($2000 -$300 discount) $1700
Days 2 and 3 only ($2000 -$300 discount) $1700
Days 2, 3, 4 and 5 ($4000 - $1000 discount) $3000
(Half Day 1 is included free with all of the above packages)

Could we buy DVDs from the conference? I really want to know what happened in the conference.

We are planning on doing videos of the classes and offering either DVDs or online download of the video, but that will not be available until several weeks after the training sessions.

Can any one tell me where in Tampa this bootcamp will be held?

The training sessions will be held at the Quorum Hotel in the Westshore area of Tampa. This area has about 12 hotels in a half mile area and is close to the airport - Tampa International Airport(TPA).
