E1/T1 to SIP/IAX Trunk

Postby DarknessBBB » Tue Dec 25, 2007 7:22 pm

Hello everybody (and happy Holydays! )

I've read somewhere that is better for load balancing to "convert" E1/T1 lines in SIP or IAX trunks, so they can be accessible from every single asterisk without using, in example, two T1/E1 digium card in a 2 asterisks environment. So I was thinking: does it exist a "gateway", where I can put in all my E1/T1 trunks and I've in output a single SIP or IAX trunk accessible from every * ?

Thank you very much!

So I need an "extra" asterisk where I can plug all my dedicated lines?

Hi

thats the best way to do, so you can offload the load to other server
any P4 box should do the job.

Hello again,
I've heard about SIPX.
http://www.sipfoundry.org/reSIProcate/

And they say that is very robust and optimal for mission critical systems.
Is it ok for doing this work?

Anyone knows anything more about this PBX?

Thank you!
