VICIDIAL is an Asterisk configurator now!

Postby mflorell » Wed Feb 11, 2009 6:42 pm

I'm happy to announce that I just committed to SVN trunk(revision 1051) the ability to configure Asterisk with VICIDIAL-defined SIP and IAX phones and carriers(trunks) all through the use of the admin.php web interface and nothing else. And any changes you make to those items in VICIDIAL will be updated on the runniing Asterisk process within one minute of making changes.

That's right, no touching of files in 'vi' is necessary at all.

If you want more info on this new feature, take a look at the ASTERISK_CONF-GEN.txt file in the docs directory.

That's sharp.

I'll be building my production cluster (10 new diallers++) in about 4 weeks. You gonna cut a release before then? :-)

No clue, we don't schedule releases at all, you'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Well, I figured you *knew* whether you were in the "hey; let's cut a release" process or not. If you aren't already, then I'll probably be installing SVN, and I'll have to decide whether to install what's at building 1 already, or what's current then.

The instructions for loading SVN trunk are actually in the SCRATCH_INSTALL.txt document as well.

OK. I install, loading the SVN trunk wanderfull, I think the new update change the default user and password ( "admin" "vicidialnow" ) for the admin.php web interface, also I try ( "6666" "1234") and nothing.

Any sugestion or there is a new user and password ?
