DAY LIGHT SAVING ISSUE

Postby bobbymc » Mon Mar 09, 2009 6:32 pm

looks like the usa does the day light saving 2 weeks prior to when its suppose to be done.. so the php and perl flags for day light saving are off.. is there a easy way to fix this or does anyone esle have this issue?

We could all set our auto-dialers to call members of the US Congress to complain about the useless thing that is DST :)

There are actually over 20 DST schemes around the world, which one is the one that is correct?

Yes, in Mexico the DST this year starts on April 5 and ends October 25.
Could this be a configurable parameter in the system?

This is also the old DST scheme that the USA/Canada used to use and it's already in the system: FSA-LSO (First Sunday April to Last Sunday October). And just like in the USA(AZ) there is one state in Mexico(SON) that does not participate in DST.

For the automatic DST in VICIDIAL to work you need to use the country code in the phone_code field. For Mexico that is 52.

And the state governments that opted in. I am glad I live in AZ.

All so we would get up earlier. Just one more law until utopia.
