Timeclock feature: what does it mean?

Postby DarknessBBB » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:08 pm

Hello,
having a little question about the meaning of timeclock feature. I'm translating in italian the 2.0.5 section but I don't know how to translate in italian the meaning of "to clock-in to the system", in example.

Maybe you mean to record the time you arrive at work?

If so, insn't enough to record the login time in the actual agent login page?

Thank you and sorry for these silly questions :)

The time clock system was added to give a separate and independant method of logging working time for agents, managers and everyone else at a call center in without having to rely on the VICIDIAL agent time logs. This is also useful for instance if agents have a meeting before or after their shift and are not logged into VICIDIAL.

Also, the timeclock can be used by any user in the system even if they do not use the vicidial.php agent interface.

Do you have more planned for Timeclock? I will try to use it and improve it and would like to know if more features are coming.

Thanks.

We've added a couple of new reports in SVN trunk that use the timeclock data, but other than that we haven't really done much with the timeclock itself.

In 2.0.5 we did add shift enforcement which is related to timeclock somewhat.
