How can I comment my DialPlan Entry?

Postby VFRDavid » Thu Jun 10, 2021 9:33 pm

The extension.conf file uses semi-colons (";") for comments as well as ";--" paired with "--;" to begin and end multi-line comments - but, the VICIdial GUI removes the ";" from the Carrier Dialplan Entry contents when I save - so anything I wanted as a comment was no longer commented - and for complicated Dialplan Entries - this could be a pain if I have to re-comment everything I just commented (which has happened to me at least once) ...

I was previously using the # - but - I noticed that when the dial plan reloads - there are warnings about that in the asterisk CLI - figured that I could "clean it up" by swapping them for ";" - but - well - that was obviously a bad idea.

Anyway - has this been updated in a recent SVN (and by recent - this system is on an early 3000 SVN).

Thanks!
David

Yes the ; semi is for comments in dialplan. I would think 3300 would have it tho. That should be new enough altho we're up to 3452 now
