Shared Agent Dialing

Postby GenXOutsourcing » Thu May 13, 2021 4:04 pm

Trying to setup the Shared Agent Dialing following http://vicidial.org/docs/AGENT_MULTI-CA ... IALING.txt document.

The server is SVN 3426.

Have created the MAIN campaign, and the 2 slave campaigns. Agents log into the MAIN campaign, and we get calls. However, if I increase the dial ratio on the main campaign, the only calls that are made are Ratio 1 that is set on the slave campaigns. If I go into the 2 slave campaigns and increase the ratio, then they will dial more.

So question is, is the actual Ratio controlled by the Main campaign? or by the slaves? Or did I miss something?

The calls are placed from the campaigns that have the leads in them, not the agent campaigns. So changing the dial level on the campaign that isn't placing any calls won't do anything.

Ah ok, then I was misunderstanding. I was thinking once they were setup and connected, that the Main campaign would control everything. And also that was why had the Shared Dial Rank to balance.

Was hoping to only micro-manage 1 campaign, not 5

The client we created this for specifically wanted to be able to control the dial levels for each of the shared dialing campaigns separately, so that's why we built it that way.

And I assume would be a lot of work and trouble to change that.

Or is there a way to have different dialplans depending on the list being called?

We don't currently have any way to do per-list dial prefixes, but I'm sure it's something that could be added.

Here is the scenario that I was looking at and reasoning to use the Shared Agent:

1. We have a group of lists (cold data) and need to run these through a DNC filter, by dialplan.
2. Lists of Opt-in data (warm leads) that will not be filtered.
3. The Cold data and the Warm leads need to be called with separate AC-CIDs.

So, created COLD campaign with AC-CID and dialplan to filter DNCs. then created WARM campaign with its own AC-CIDs and dialplan without filter. Both of these Shared-Ratio campaigns send calls the the MAIN SALES campaign.

The thought was, if the MAIN campaign controlled the actual dialing speed, then we would use the Shared Dial Rank to have the COLD campaign dial more than the WARM campaign.

**The other option that could be, is if we can assign a CallerID group and dialplan to each list, and then just have all the lists in a single campaign.

How exactly does a " DNC filter, by dialplan" work?

Our VOIP provider has a DNC filter in place. When we send traffic to them, they block any calls that the number is on the National DNC. They just return a 503 (DNC Blocked)

So, we have a different prefix to send unfiltered and filtered traffic.

Adding a per-list "Dial Prefix Override" feature wouldn't be that difficult, it would probably take a couple hours.

How much would we be looking to add this?

Our base rate is $200/hr, so $400 for 2 hours, then it's part of the VICIdial codebase.

Ok, what do I need to do to get this started?

ALso, how difficult would be to add a CallerID Group override at the same time?

Just email <support@vicidial.com> and mention this topic(with a link).

As for adding a per-list CID Group Override, that would be more involved given the many sources and options for setting a CID on a call. I'd have to do a code review before I could quote you on that one.
