you set up the user and pass yourself when you install mysql (unless you are installing vicidialNOW, in which case you should probably read the install manual for that version ...)

the "real use" for remote agents is for agents who cannot log in (ordinarily this would be from lack of a computer, which generally results from a funding issue, but often is simply because the call center is "set in their ways" and has no interest in the disposition data at all).

have you read the manager's manual? it's free. it's on EFLO.net (there's a paid version, too, but you must read the free one, it's required)
