We have just finished updating the Vicidial Manager manual for the 2.9 release!

The new manual is 380 pages(which is over 70 pages more than the 2.4 manager manual).

You can buy the full version here:
http://www.vicidial.org/store.php#MANAGER
(There is also a free sample version you can download on that page)

When you purchase a manual download account, you get to download updates for 12 months. If it's been longer than 12 months since your last purchase, then you need to buy it again.

We're working on the next Agent Manual right now, but we will start on the next Manager Manual after that. There is a lot to do, and we have to balance between development and working on the manuals, and development usually wins :) But it is something we are working on, and there have been a lot of big changes(like adding Chat a few months ago), so it will take some time to complete.

Hi Florell,

I'm just curious to ask, does the Vicidial Manager Manual have step by step instructions on how to install Vicidial on other OS platforms e.g Gentoo, Debian or CentOS?

In your own opinion which is the most stable platform or preferred environment to run Vicidial? My goal is to setup Vicidial on a cloud server.

Lastly, is it possible to make changes to the Agent UI?

The manager manual has no installation instructions at all. It is assumed you already have VICIdial installed.

The most stable platform, and the only one we support, is OpenSuSE. This is what the VICIbox installer is built upon, and we have performed thousands of VICIdial system installations on OpenSuSE. (http://vicibox.com/server/index.html)

Of course it's possible to make UI changes, VICIdial is open source. Although it is very complex and making changes can have unintended consequences.
