It is based on the following softwares:

OpenSuSE v.12.3 "Dartmouth" built with SuSE Studio
Linux Kernel v.3.7
ViciDial SVN Trunk Rev 2011
Asterisk v.1.8.23.0-vici
DAHDI v.2.6.1
libPRI v.1.4.14
Amfletec VoiceSync v.1.3.2
OpenR2 v.1.3.2
ZoiperWeb v.2.8.15810
Apache v.2.2.22
MariaDB v.5.5.29
PHP v.5.3.3
phpMyAdmin v.4.0.4.1 (optional)

To the Sangoma T1 users and VoiceTime users:

Sangoma products are not supported at this time due to kernel compatibility or DAHDI compatibility issues. If you want to use a Sangoma T1 card or their VoiceTime modules you will need to work with ViciBox v.4 or v.3. We have reached out to Sangoma about getting driver updates and have not gotten a response. If you want to use a T1 with ViciBox v.5 we would recommend you look at a Digium card. The Amfletec VoiceSync PCI-Express timers are also very good at doing their job and are supported without issue.

What is new and improved:

The elusive --restore option is now written and tested. You pass this as a flag to vicibox-install I.E. 'vicibox-install --restore'. THIS IS NOT A BACKUP TOOL!!! It is designed to make replacing a server in a cluster easier. It will not back up or restore custom configuration files, recordings, audio files, crontab entries, or anything that a fresh out-of-the-box ViciBox installation doesn't do automatically. The intent is to give you a method for upgrading servers with less issues or replacing failed servers quickly.

There is now a vicibox-upgrade.pl script. This will create a vicibox table on the database, and then insert server records for additional servers that it is ran on while keeping the SVN version in sync. It is version agnostic meaning you can run it on older ViciBox installs without issue. It needs to be ran on the database first before all other servers. This will create the ViciBox table on the database if it does not exist, update the DB schema, and then update the SVN version in the vicibox table. When the upgrade script is ran on a dialer or web server then it will also update the local SVN code to the one that was used on the Database. You will still need to read the UPGRADE document located at /usr/src/astguiclient/trunk/UPGRADE to see if there are any local configuration file changes needed or changes to the crontab, etc.

DB Slave set-up has been tested and works now. On master databases you will need to create a slave user by either running the vicibox-upgrade.pl script or issuing the below SQL: grant replication slave,replication client,select,reload on *.* to 'slave'@'%' identified by 'slave1234';
This will create a slave user with the username 'slave' and password 'slave1234'. Please make sure this matches what is present in your vicibox table for the master database. It is recommended to run the DB Slave setup after hours as it can potentially be a very long process.

Make sure to read the ViciBox v.5.0 patch and bugfix thread to make sure you have all applicable updates and fixes installed! If not, feel free to post a new thread and we will dive into the issue.

Your translation software isn't working very well.

Vicibox has versions from 5.0.0 to 5.0.3.

5.0 is not one of them, which did you use?

Only time I I give a "netstat-lntu" to see the doors, he climbed nothing "Apache2, Asterisk etc. ..."
Sorry, I don't understand this at all. I'd like to help ...

hi i am a new member i beg all of you to help me please.
I do the trunk for incoming call for the inbound campaign elastix with vicidial.
I install vicibox 2.8b0.5 who built with asterisk 1.8 and I use elastix 2.2 who use asterisk 1.8
Vicidial server:192.168.1.2 elastix server: 192.168.1.4
My configuration:
In vicidial
Carrier ID: elastix
Carrier name: elastix
Registration string: register=>vicidial1:secret@192.168.1.4:5060
Account entry:
[elastix1]
host=192.168.1.4
username=vicidial1
secret=secret
type=friend
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
qualify=yes
context=from-internal
protocol: IAX2
dialplan entry:
exten => _XXX.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _XXX.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN},20,to)
exten => _XXX.,3,Hangup.
In elastix
Trunk name: vicidial1
Dial number manipulation rule: XXXXXXXXXX
Outgoing settings
Trunk name: vicidial1
Peer detail:
host=192.168.1.2
type=friend
username=vicidial1

Intracompany Routing: (checked)
Dial Patterns:

Trunk Secuence:
vicidial1
I configure the sip phone 103 in vicidial and the inbound campaign, inbound group, DID. So when I configure the sip 104 in vicidial and try to call agent by the interface screen to answer and the system use other line to answer not use the interface agent and I do the trunk to activate the interface of agent when call arive I configure the sip 101 with elastix and when I call the extension DID 9998811112 to the sip 103 of vicidial my phone tel that “the answered is busy please try call later” I don’t have the voip provider I want to do it in local. what can I do please help me.

You should not hijack threads, create a new one instead.

exten => _XXX.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN},20,to)
_XXX. is not a good extension, you should use _9XXX. or similar and use 9 as dial prefix
but more important the Dial function is incomplete and wrong!
First of all, "SIP" that should be IAX2 if you use IAX2
and after IAX2 you should have account entry name (elastix1 in your case)
and then ${EXTEN} which you can change to ${EXTEN:1} if you use 9 as dial prefix
What is your "Globals String"?

Read the manual configuring carrier is covered in it.

Do not answer this here, answer in in a new topic!

Seriously?

Let's take a deep breath ...

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This (Easy To Read!!):

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) You want to dial from a Vicidial server to an Elastix server .... WHY? (We can probably help you with a fairly simple solution, but tossing out a run-on sentence that garbled is not going to get us there).

Post a NEW topic of your own, explain what you are trying to do and be sure to include a simple statement of your goal.

For instance: You want to set up a vicidial server to practice calling (for training ...)? You want to call to your elastix server so later you can learn to pass calls through it to a provider? What?

8-) Happy Hunting!

Thank you for your all answer.
My objective with vicidial:
I want to do a call center for the inbound calls in my local network and I don’t have the gateway and the VOIP provider but I have the vicidial and elastix server. When the agent is on his interface screen of vicidial I take my phone configured on elastix server and call the DID extension of agent vicidial to the activate his interface for simulate the incoming call and observe the comportment of the agent screen when the call arrive and the future I look that to couple all of this with open ERP.
Information of vicidial:
Vicibox5.i686-5.0.3.iso|vicidial 2.8b0.5|build opensuse v.12.3 32 bit|Asterisk v1.8.23.0-vici|single server| No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation |Intel(R) Pentium|DUAL CPU E2220
Occurs installation I installed vicibox express .
And I use elastix 2.2 who build with asterisk 1.8.11.0
In vicidial I configured the phone extension, user, inbound group, inbound campaign, number of DID, and the carrier. I put successfully from-internal and trunkinbound.
Please can you help for the dialplan entry and the global string on vicidial. I used 101 of elastix and I want to call 9998811112 for the agent interface vicidial.
I put it in my dialplan entry on vicidial: exten => _9XXX.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _9XXX.,2,Dial(${elastix1}/${EXTEN:1},,To)
exten => _9XXX.,3,Hangup. And add the same in the /etc/asterisk/extension.conf file under the trunkinbound section.
call is not work . :cry: i need help

Your posts have absolutely nothing to do with this thread. You need to create a new topic

You have posted this on a topic called "Vicibox 503 released". Since this has nothing to do with the release of 503 ... I'm thinking smead is right. And since domedan also suggested you open a new thread you already knew this.

Please try to be clear in your post and create your own thread. A good description is good, but when you complete that description ... be sure you clearly state your question aside from the description with a clear statement of the conditions.

I do not understand how you intend to dial from elastix to a number in the agent interface. Doesn't correlate for me. Post a new topic and see if you can clear that up.

And: Elastix is an installer for FreePBX. So actually, you're not doing anything in elastix ... but in FreePBX. Right? (don't answer here ... put it in a new thread).

elastics runs on FreePBX (they modified it, and they try to hide it, but it is freepbx under the hood).

Hi

I am new here but i have a query.

I installed vicibox 5.0.3 64 bit standard from vicibox site ( on an intel quad core xeon)and when i just open my firewall for the voip provider, i get a ring and then a blank
When i looked at the logs of my firewall i am getting a lot of traffic to 184.107.41.251. When i open this ip address on firewall the voice starts working.

My query is .... is this ip address assigned by vicidial or is it by my voip provider?

Welcome to the forum nikhilgs!

It is most likely your provider, this is the whois info for 184.107.41.251:
iWeb Technologies Inc. IWEB-BLK-07 (NET-184-107-0-0-1) 184.107.0.0 - 184.107.255.255
iWeb Dedicated HD IWEB-HD-T4402SH (NET-184-107-41-224-1) 184.107.41.224 - 184.107.41.255

and next time, post your queries in a new topic instead of answering a existing one
