Hi Everyone,
Quick question. Is there a package or script already created for Vicibox 5.0.3 that installs the Amfeltec Voice timers drivers? I don't see the driver using lsmod and dahdi doesn't detect it.

Hi Matt,
I saw that post yesterday. Unfortunately the drivers are not being loaded. I am seeing the card though via lspci.
vd-02:~ # lspci | grep Exar
0a:02.0 Serial controller: Exar Corp. Device 0301 (rev 02)
vd-02:~ # lsmod | grep voicesync
vd-02:~ #

Did you install the amfeltec PCIexpress card before installing Vicibox?

After. I figure there is probably a package I need to zypper in that wasn't included during the normal install however I am not sure what that may be.

Anyone know the package(s)? I am reluctant to try to compile it since we are now package based with 5.0.3

You need to edit the default Vicidial init script to load the proper drivers. The init script is located at /etc/init.d/vicidial
You would look for the ZAP_MOD=dahdi_dummy line and replace dahdi_dummy with voicesync.
Alternatively, as a short cut, you can run the following command after loggin in as root: sed -i 's/ZAP_MOD=dahdi_dummy/ZAP_MOD=voicesync/' vicidial
Once you have modified the init script, just type reboot to verify that the driver loads on boot properly.
