Digium pri card configure how to

For demo we have installed Vicibox version 5.

Desktop once it gets success we move to server xeon process edition .

Note manually after start dahdi service then oly show drivers .

In asterisk cli while type pri show spans nothing output like below mentioned .

What i have to pls guide me .

I wanna to give demo incoming and outgoing calls from pri

and then move production server

If i missed or skipped any steps pls guide . This is the first time im using digium card in asterisk

note that there are MANY posts on this form dealing with configuration of the Vicidial system to use the Digium or Sangoma cards, but neither is necessary to use Vicidial. Most Vicidial users use VOIP carriers instead of PSTN lines to dial out and receive calls.

If none of those help you get where you need to be:

Start over. Install with the latest version of Vicibox (from vicibox.com) and have the digium card installed in the computer before you begin. It should configure the digium card for you except for a minor dialplan change requirement (you should find a reference to that in your search).

As a PRI differs from a T1 by virtue of being partial internet and partial dedicated phone lines, change to full Internet on the T1 and just use SIP phones connected to a VOIP carrier instead. Then you need only an internet connection (through the T1) and get your phone service elsewhere while removing the need for specialized hardware in the Vicidial server (it becomes a generic piece of computer hardware, easily replaced and expanded). This should dramatically reduce your T1 invoice (just internet) and allow you to "shop around" for VOIP carriers at greatly reduced rates with NO contract requirements. The only contract you'll be left with is the T1 Data and if you look around, you may be able to beat that with a broadband internet (or Fiber Internet!) provider eventually.

If that was helpful, and you are planning to deploy ... you will likely have several meetings/conferences in your organization to plan the infrastructure. I highly advise you to have a Vicidial Professional involved in this phase. A 30-minute conference call can save you hours of "replanning" and thousands of dollars. Not kidding.

And you are definitely on the right track by performing a demo installation. We usually do this with a virtual server, but any generic desktop computer will definitely do (and can actually be used in production, whereas a Virtual server should never be used for more than a single user 'demo' for proof of concept).
