Agent using Eye-beam Can't hear customer and customer can't

Postby credrudy » Fri May 08, 2009 9:26 am

I have a agent that can login into the dialer fine and the Eye-beam answers and the session begins. But she can't hear customer and the customer can't her her. She has a Linksys router and is on VISTA. Eye-beam and Firefox are in her firewall exceptions. I'm stumped.

have you enabled NAT in your sip configuration? is your asterisk server on WAN or LAN behind router?

I believe so however I don't manage that piece. I currently have 45 agents logged in and working fine this is a isolated case. I haven't had this exact issue before it is like her soft phone isn't transmitting.

if your asterisk is behind a NAT , could be an issue with your nat, try looking at rtp.conf and forward all the UDP port range in the conf file from your router to your asterisk server, the default values of the rtp.conf is 10001 to 20000

You could also try Zoiper instead with the IAX protocol, much less NAT issues when using IAX instead of SIP.
