Trying to conect a SoftPhone to ViciDN - "no route to d

Postby phil_discount » Tue Jun 23, 2009 2:25 am

Hello Guys,

I've got a little problems with my softphones.
I made a new ViciDialNow Installation (1.2),
my changes:
-IP address / gateway in the setup
-After that I changed the IP address in the webinterface vicidial admin -> server
-in the configuration of the softphone, i changed the vicidialnow server too, because there is a new one with the new ip address

I just downloaded the latest version of Zoiper 2.21 and configured a sip phone:
Domain: server ip vicidialnow
User: 100
Password: test
CallerIDname: 100

When I try to register, follow message appears in the log of Zoiper Phone:
Code: Select all
09:08:44 Registering user '100@192.168.203.21'
09:08:45 Failed registration  for '100@192.168.203.21' with cause 'no route to destination'

I start the softphone from my notebook in the same network.
I can ping google from a console session on the vicidial server, i think there is no network problem.

EDIT: I installed the Zoiperphone on a second PC and the same problem.

Anyone here with an idea?

Best regards
Philip

if you changed the IP address during setup, it would have been correct in admin->server when you started the system. if you changed the ip address AFTER setup, you must run the ip change script for the IP address to be changed everywhere (not just in that one spot).

Hello,
thanks for the answer.
I run the script, restarted the server, but the error message in the softphone is the same.
I can't imagine i made a mistake because it's very very simple :-)

but i found out an error in the mail of mr.root:

Looks like you havent' updated your VicidialNOW system to the new IP address. Try running "update_server_ip". You can check on the Admin page under the Server section if the IP address of the server has been updated and their corresponding conferences and phones.

you must run update_server_ip with the correct old and correct new ip addresses (or reinstall the server with the correct ip from the beginning)

if the machine has had more than one ip, you must do this once fore each old ip it had. or you can read the script and find ALL the places that the ip must be corrected. it's a lot of places. thus, the script to do it for you.

Hello,
sorry, i was involved in some other projects, now i have time for vici :-)
After installation the IP address is fix, during the installation, i cant change the IP... so i have to use update_server_ip.
Can u tell me, where I find the file "update_server_ip"?
i want to see, where the program change the ip, perhaps the program can't change the ip address of one config file?!
i want control the whole file step by step.

Thanks

It's located in: "/usr/local/sbin/". It's actually a link to "/usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl".
