Cannot Get "Grab Call In Queue" Working

Fantastic job on 2.2 to everyone involved. It has addressed many little issues and has brought the project along way imo.

I'm testing 2.2.0-224, build 91125-0628. I'm trying to get agent grab calls in queue working. Atm when the agent presses "Take Call" they experience about 5 seconds of nothing and the call disappears and the call gets "good bye" in about the same time. Can someone please help? I assume that the feature has worked for others. Has anyone come across this issue?

I have tried INBOUND_MAN, and RATIO, via call menu -> inbound group and straight to inbound group.

The call is picked up fine if agent is already ready or if the agent becomes ready while the call is in queue, just having problems with the "take call" link.

Ah of course. I tested a few times and looking at real-time screen the agent is definitely showing as paused after the "take call" is click. While the agent screen does look like it has resumed to take the call.

Is that the end for this call? The output should not just end like that, there should be some result before the AGI exits.

Have you tried this in a controlled manner using your own test calls?

Yes, this is my own test. I think the cli shows that the server is playing goodbye and hanging up. And the caller (me) experiences the same thing.

Well, we haven't really had any reports of issues with Grab Call(other than agents using it to cherry-pick calls, but that is to be expected), and we have several clients using it.

Thanks for your time. I'll keep at it and let you know if I manage to fix it.

My main reason for using grab call is for fairly occasional inbound calls to be picked up by agents working on manual campaigns. So they have the option of answering when they're ready, not when they're not. Do you have any other suggestions for how I might do this?

The agent has to be paused to take a Grab call to ensure that they do not receive another call while the call is transferring to them(it takes about 1 second for an agent to click PAUSE). As for outbound, have you set the queue priority higher on outbound calls than inbound calls?

The agent is paused when "take call" is clicked.

I can work fine with the way is but for development sakes, if the campaign is inbound manual, it shouldn't need to be full "paused" as no calls will come in without the agent performing the action of either dialing a manual call or grab an inbound call, unless there are live table conflicts with the agent not being full paused.

Thanks for the advice. I've just set the queue priority to 98 but it should impact anything as there are no outbound calls yet and when I do put it live it will be inbound manual, but good to know.

Even in INBOUND_MAN if the agent is READY then calls can be sent to them that are coming inbound. They have to go paused to ensure no inbound calls will be directed to them while they are in the process of grabbing a call.
