if it does not cause any other problems, it is not something you have to fix. no call quality issues, no dropped calls = you can safely ignore this "notice" that is unfortunately broadcast as a warning.

@engelbertlee

What is kernel version, on what OS?
What's asterisk version?

Does it happen during load or even when idle?

I've had the same after compiling asterisk 1.2 branch on newer kernels from debian lenny (2.6.26.2). Happens even on a single call. With load asterisk crashes.

Thought I've messed up somewhere while compiling, but saw it again on a freshly installed system.

Had to go to 1.4.21.2, although in my observations it puts noticeably more load on the server and generally behaves badly on loaded system. While we were with 1.2.30.2, I haven't seen asterisk crashed for more than an year, even with loadavg above 6-7, not counting spikes. With 1.4.21.2 got number of crashes until I had reduced load by splitting agents and turning off amd.

Does anyone have similar observations?
