NON-AGENT API and duplicates

We're loading leads using the non-agent api. I noticed that there was no mention on duplicate scrubing in the documentation. Can you confirm that this API doesn't scrub for duplicates?

Do you have any recomendations? I'm thinking having the client send a custom script the lead, The custom script would scrub duplications, then send the lead via the non-agent api if its not a duplicate.

I know that request has been mentioned before, but I could not find any reference to a patch in the issue tracker. I'm sure this could be added, I would suggest posting to the issue tracker or possibly sponsoring the feature.

I created the following issue in Mantis:

I was going to create a variable called duplicate_check. The possible values are "list", "campaign", and "system". It will only check for duplicates if the duplicate_check variable has a value.

For example if the value is list then it will check for duplicates on the list n id specified in the list_id variable.

Let me know if anyone has any additional suggestions.

Created a patch for 2.2.0-15 build 91203-1140. This patch will allow a dupcheck parameter to be passed using the non-agent api. The possible values are:

DUPLIST - CHECK FOR DUPLICATES BY PHONE IN LIST ID
DUPCAMP - CHECK FOR DUPLICATES BY PHONE IN ALL CAMPAIGN LISTS
DUPSYS - CHECK FOR DUPLICATES BY PHONE IN ENTIRE SYSTEM
DUPTITLEALTPHONELIST - CHECK FOR DUPLICATES BY TITLE/ALT-PHONE IN LIST ID
DUPTITLEALTPHONESYS - CHECK FOR DUPLICATES BY TITLE/ALT-PHONE IN ENTIRE SYSTEM
